FORAGE & FEAST WITH SEASONED WILD EXPERTS
SEASONED will be a combination of narration voiceover and on-screen experts lead by Mark Hix MBE (chef & writer). The show format will then follow Mark or one of his friends as they unearth the most incredible examples of seasonal food and drink for each particular season. As we move from location to location motion graphics will illustrate the path and the voice over will discuss the conditions occurring to create each specific food.
Foraging is playing an increasingly important role supporting, promoting and defending the health of all plants, fungi, algae, animals (including humans) and the habitats/environments in which they exist.
Throughout the series we’ll be introduced to some of the best wild foragers in the world as we head off into ancient woodlands, forests and shorelines. Going the extra mile to reach some of the UK’s hardest to reach ingredients.
Fishing is one of the UK’s biggest sports and most popular pastime. It’s a vital part of our food heritage and an important way to create a healthy connection between our environment and eating well. Mark will introduce us to many of his producers he work with daily as well as meeting some new producers from around the world.
Seeing our experts in the filed, rooting out the best produce and food producers the world has to offer, along with some of the most spectacular scenery we can capture on camera is a tantalising concept where wilderness skills meet incredible food - in an adventure travel cooking show like no other.
